Background


Mr. Yoon joined the Joint Commission International team in January 2017. He currently serves as Managing Director Asia-Pacific where he is responsible for the development of relationships between Joint Commission International and Asia-Pacific health care organizations, governments and industry clients in their efforts to reduce risk and improve health outcomes.

Prior to his role at Joint Commission International, Mr. Yoon served as Regional Director Southeast Asia and head of Philips Capital at Philips Healthcare Asia-Pacific office in Singapore. While there, he led a wide range of large-scale projects including public private partnerships and advised health care organizations on capital-asset planning, project financing, turnkey procurement, operation consulting.

Mr. Yoon has also worked as the General Manager at Mubadala Development Company in Abu Dhabi managing a multi-specialty spine surgery and rehabilitation hospital and has served as head of international business at Wooridul Spine Hospital, a large privately-owned hospital group in South Korea specializing in spine and orthopedic disease management. In his role there, he worked closely with leading health care providers in Asia, Europe and the Middle East on strategic partnerships and joint ventures. He also led the organization’s first Joint Commission International accreditation.

He currently serves as key opinion leader and consultant for Korea Health Industry Development Institute under Korea Ministry of Health and Welfare.

With more than 13 years of experience in health care and finance, Mr. Yoon has a proven successful track record of key projects delivered across diverse health care industry spectrum and geographies. His creative innovation and curiosity continues to propel him forward to seek new opportunities for business innovation.
