John Yoon, MBA
Managing Director, Asia Pacific
John Yoon is currently serving as Managing Director Asia Pacific for Joint Commission International. In this capacity, he is responsible for development of relationships between JCI and Asia-Pacific health care organizations, governments, medical societies and industry clients in their efforts to improve patient safety and health outcomes.
Prior to JCI, John served as Regional Director Solutions Business and Philips Capital at Philips Healthcare Asia Pacific in Singapore leading large scale hospital projects, capital asset financing and turnkey equipment solutions to governments and healthcare organizations across the Asia region.
Previously, he held executive management positions in hospital administration working as General Manager at Mubadala Development Company, a sovereign wealth company of Abu Dhabi government, managing a multi-specialty orthopedic and rehabilitation hospital. He also worked as Director of International Business at Asia’s largest private health system in orthopedic surgery and disease management where he led corporate business strategy and international investment portfolio.
John has background in corporate finance and investment from his early career in banking and venture capital industry where he has led multiple key investments in telecommunication and biotechnology.
He graduated with degree in business administration from Korea University in Korea and holds MBA from IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland.
