Dr. Tina Fang has 25 years of healthcare management experience. She is currently the Director of Clinical Governance and Quality at the Institute of Mental Health, a 2,000-bed tertiary psychiatry hospital in Singapore. Clinical Governance is the executive arm to the Medical Board, providing strategic direction and oversight of clinical services in the hospital.

Under her leadership, the Clinical Governance and Quality department oversees hospital quality improvement activities, patient safety programs, Joint Commission International hospital accreditation, medical staff privileging, clinical outcome measurement, and the development and implementation of changes for improvement. Dr. Fang provides expert advice and support to senior staff in implementing quality standards, measuring and monitoring performance, and ensuring continuous improvement in clinical performance, quality, and patient safety.

In her previous roles, Dr. Fang’s experiences spanned over research, process improvement, strategic planning, and institution-wide project management with regional and tertiary hospitals in Singapore. She has co-authored the “Clinical Quality and Patient Safety” chapter of the IACAPAP Textbook of Child and Adolescent Mental Health, as well as the Quality Chapter of the textbook ‘Essential Guide to Psychiatry.’

Dr. Fang has been a consultant with Joint Commission International since 2013.
