Joint Commission International Consultant Kathy Reno, PhD, RN EDAC, co-authored an article for Arab Health Magazine with Basma Al Buhairan PhD, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital at Princess Nora University.

The article, entitled “Clinical commissioning for safe clinical operations of new facilities,” covers two key types of commissioning for any organization opening a new or re-done facility. Facility commissioning reviews the physical structure of the building, while clinical operations commissioning examines workflow and operational processes. Both are essential for optimizing an organization’s new space.
