Dr. Richard A. Wright is a board certified internal medicine and infectious disease specialist, with expertise in performance improvement and evaluation, care process redesign, and disease management by clinical teams. He serves on several local and national committees and provides numerous workshops on performance improvement and process redesign, and he is the author of numerous articles on a broad array of topics related to health care quality and management.

In 2005, Dr. Wright received a national award for research and innovation in primary care. Dr. Wright provides consulting services for hospitals and ambulatory centers both in the United States and in numerous countries, with specific expertise on credentialing and privileging; performance measurement and quality management; leadership development; and the use of Lean redesign methods to improve clinical processes impacting quality and patient safety. He has consulted in the Middle East, Asia/Pacific, the Americas, and Europe.
