Marwa J. Zohdy, PhD, CJCP
Vice President, Global Consulting Services
Marwa J. Zohdy is the Vice President of Global Consulting Services for Joint Commission International. She is responsible for all aspects of JCI consulting, helping health care organizations in the U.S. and more than 100 countries to achieve excellence in quality and patient safety. She oversees the strategy and portfolio of consulting services as well as the management and development of over 100 expert consultants worldwide.
Prior to this role, Dr. Zohdy spent several years in McKinsey & Company’s Healthcare Systems and Services practice, where she led work to address strategic challenges in health care. She has worked closely with top leaders in hospitals, health systems, and academic medical centers in the U.S., as well as national and regional ministries of health across the U.K., Middle East, and North Africa. Examples of her work include: hospital growth strategy; national health reform; best practice clinical care pathways; innovative services within health systems; and regional health system design. She also served as a Knowledge Expert with McKinsey’s Health Systems Institute.
Dr. Zohdy holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan, with a research focus on ultrasound imaging and targeted laser therapy for cancer cells.
