Marina Tan is currently serving as International Manager Asia Pacific for Joint Commission International. In this capacity, she is responsible for developing relationships between JCI and Asia-Pacific health care organizations, governments, ministries, medical societies, and industry clients in their efforts to improve patient safety and health outcomes. Her background in healthcare strategy and marketing helps her to maintain current relationships and to cultivate new ones.
Prior to joining JCI, Marina served as Director for Marketing and Business Development for Fortis Healthcare Limited, a leading integrated healthcare delivery service provider in India. While there, she pioneered a team that built a single specialty hospital in Singapore within 18 months – the Fortis Colorectal Hospital – now renamed Concord International Hospital. She also created a successful branding campaign for the hospital across the region.
Additionally, Marina served as the Senior Manager of Business Projects at Parkway Pantai, one of Asia’s largest integrated private healthcare groups operating in Singapore, Malaysia, India, China, Brunei and United Arab Emirates. And, as General Manager at AsiaMedic, a premier healthcare provider in Singapore, she reported directly to the CEO and was Deputy Project Leader of Healthcare Consultancy work in Abu Dhabi where her principal responsibility covered project consultancy support in feasibility studies and market research primarily on ambulatory wellness, screening and centers.
With more than 12 years of experience in healthcare strategy and marketing, Marina is focused on driving business growth in the healthcare sector while she works to deepen relationships with healthcare organizations to improve overall quality and patient safety outcomes.
Marina has a Business of Commerce degree in Marketing and Management from Curtin University in Western Australia.
