On 3 April 2009, Joint Commission International (JCI), in collaboration with LocarnoRegionalHospital, will host a conference entitled “Patient Safety in the Hospital: Systemic Approach to International Accreditation.” The conference, which will be available free of charge, will provide participants with concrete tools needed to understand the importance of accreditation for excellence as a systemic preventive approach to safety, and to make the experience of the Locarno Regional Hospital, as the first Swiss hospital accredited by an international program, available to the health professionals.
