Filippo Azzali, MD

Filippo Azzali has years of experience in health care management and quality improvement. Dr. Azzali’s consulting expertise includes accreditation preparation, patient safety, and quality management. He has extensive experience with medical management, leadership development, physician-administration relationships, process improvement, risk management, patient safety and quality management.

Dr. Azzali has been actively involved in development of activities for Joint Commission International in the Italian market for over three years. He is fluent in English and Italian and has provided international consulting services to organizations in Italy. Dr. Azzali has been involved as a JCI consultant in a regional project (Regione Lombardia – Italy) to evaluate the quality of health care since 2004.

Dr. Azzali served in Office of Epidemiology and was a researcher of a risk management project in Azienda Ospedaliera “Istituti Ospitalieri” di Cremona in Italy.

Dr. Azzali received his doctor of medicine with a specialty in Hygiene and Preventive Medicine from the University of Parma in Italy.
