Abha Shroff has 10 years of leadership and management experience in health care, 15 years of experience in quality management and accreditation essentials and 18 years of clinical experience in pathology and microbiology.
Dr. Shroff’s experience includes an active role in the implementation and maintenance of the Joint Commission’s International Standards for Hospitals in her current position as the medical director of Shroff Eye Hospital. Shroff Eye Hospital is an ambulatory care center for eye care in Mumbai, Asia and has been a JCI-accredited organization since February 2006. Dr. Shroff has also been the management representative for ISO audits at Shroff Eye Hospital and was instrumental in the implementation of the ISO 9001:2000 guidelines.
She is also practicing in the field of pathology and microbiology with a special focus on ocular pathology. In addition, she is involved in the conduction and coordination of clinical trials, formulation of Ethics Committee guidelines, and development of policies, protocols and procedures for infection control at Shroff Eye Hospital.
Some of Dr. Shroff’s professional affiliations include, member, Indian Medical Association; Bombay Nursing Homes Association; and Indian Confederation for Healthcare Accreditiation. She received her doctor of medicine in pathology and bacteriology and a diploma in clinical pathology from Sheth KM School of Postgraduate Medicine & Research, Ahmedabad, Gujarat University, in Asia. She is also a Joint Commission-certified Yellow Belt.
