This month's Accreditation and Certification Preparation article

JCI's standards focus additional attention on patient safety, a key prioirity of JCI.  For example, we now have a chapter in our manual on medication use standards since medication errors are among the most common threats to patient safety.  Our approach better examines all facets of medication safety, from proper storage to proper dispensing.  We look at all the different places where problems can occur and keep patients from getting the proper medicines.

This is one example of how JCI accreditation provides value for the organization with the end result being improved patient safety.  Visit us often for more information on Accreditation and Certification preparation.
