Joint Commission International (JCI) has begun working with the International Patient Safety Collaborative (IPSC), a small-but-growing network of health care providers in Israel and the United States. As stated on the organization’s Web site, IPSC “works to reduce medical errors and improve patient safety through collaborative learning.” Deborah Nadzam, PhD, RN, FAAN, practice leader, Patient Safety, Joint Commission Resources, is a member of IPSC’s advisory board; Jeannell Mansur, RPh, PharmD, FASHP, practice leader, Medication Safety, Joint Commission Resources, is involved with IPSC’s medication safety efforts.
