International Practica Scheduled for November and December 2009
Two exclusive 5-day practica are scheduled in support of Joint Commission International’s commitment to safe, patient-centered care—9–13 November in Seoul, South Korea, and 13–17 December in Amman, Jordan.
Delivering safe, high-quality health care is a challenge for any organization. Joint Commission International’s practica are designed to provide standards, processes, and best practices today’s health care organizations need to deliver the gold-standard of care.
Subjects covered include the following:
• The JCI Process. Understand the intricacies of the JCI process, from the first steps that every organization must complete
to the last stages of the accreditation decision.
• JCI Evaluation Methodologies. Learn how JCI evaluates organizational compliance, and how you can use these tools to
enhance the quality of care you provide.
• Five Steps for Continual Improvement. Find out the five steps that high-functioning organizations use to successfully drive
their continuous improvement process.
• Process Improvement Workshops. Work in small groups to learn how to use failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA)
and root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and solve persistent healthcare problems.
• Tracer Demonstration. Participate in two simulated tracers held within accredited healthcare organizations. This in-depth
analysis of JCI’s tracer methodology is indispensible to the accreditation preparation process.
