How to Submit a Standard Interpretation Question

Since 1 April 2009, Joint Commission International (JCI) has been fielding questions regarding accreditation standards from JCI–accredited organizations and those preparing for accreditation via its Standards Interpretation Portal.

Accredited organizations and those planning to be can submit questions as follows:
► Go to JCI’s Standards Interpretation Portal and fill out the Web-based form completely by using the pull-down boxes and typing
     information in every indicated box
► Make certain to click on the Submit Question button at the bottom of the page to send the question to JCI.

Organizations submitting an interpretation request through the Standards Interpretation Portal should expect a response within 48 hours, longer if the request is made on a Saturday or Sunday. Interpretation responses that represent new and important information will be provided to all JCI surveyors and consultants and posted on the JCI Web site.
