Joint Commission International and ISQua
The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) is a non-profit, independent organization whose mission is to improve the quality and safety of health care worldwide. ISQua’s International Accreditation Program (IAP) is the only program that “accredits the accreditors” and provides worldwide recognition for accredited organizations that meet approved international standards.
Joint Commission International has participated in the IAP since 2005. In June 2011, JCI completed an on-site re-evaluation by the ISQua survey team. The sets of standards for six JCI accreditation programs have been granted a four-year accreditation by ISQua. JCI has also applied for ISQua accreditation for the JCI Surveyor Training Program.
This highly esteemed honor reinforces that JCI standards meet the highest international benchmark.
