A seminar for entrepreneurs seeking to establish private health care facilities in developing countries
Government policy now encourages an expanded role for the private sector in providing inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic services in many countries throughout the world.
Joint Commission International (JCI) and the European Association for Private Hospitals (UEHP) are excited to sponsor this one day, premier conference for entrepreneurs who are involved with private health care projects in developing countries. JCI and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, will conduct sessions aimed at providing critical information on project funding, applying for IFC support, the importance of accreditation for the health care facility, designing the facility to support patient safety and quality, and much more.
Seminar Topics
This seminar will address topics that are important to every entrepeneur interested in private health care projects in developing countries.
The IFC will lead important discussions about:
- International trends in the private health sector
- IFC's participation in the private health sector
- Types of support and financing that are available
- Profiles of successful projects - including examples of projects which IFC has supported
- Importance of clinical quality and safety for IFC investments
- Applying for IFC support - including aspects of project planning and feasibility analysis
